Lametasaurus (luh-MAY-tuh-SAWR-us - Meaning "Lameta (India) lizard") named for the Lameta Formation, Jabalpur, India, is a chimera composed of several different animals.
The type species is Lametasaurus indicus. The original specimen included titanosaurid or ankylosaurid armor, crocodile teeth and theropod material. Described by Matley in 1921, it is a nomen dubium. Other fossils once assigned to this genus have since been reclassified as belonging to Rajasaurus.
As it stands now, the genus is chimeric, and thus invalid.
